Q: Is more than one group booked at a
time, or will we have the entire property to ourselves?
A: We only book one group at a time, usually just a romantic couple.
The only other people you should see if you are walking the trails
is my wife and myself, and we will not disturb your privacy. As soon
as the property is booked (whether for a private getaway or for a
large group), it is exclusively reserved and we remove the dates
from our availability calendar.
Q: Are pets allowed? I have a
small dog.
A: Yes. Pre-approved pets are allowed. Generally, a crate is
required for times you will be away from your pet. An additional pet
deposit is required (see rates).
Q: Are dogs required to be on leash when
we are outside?
A: No. This is an unusual opportunity for your dog to run free.
However, if your dog chases a scent trail or you have any problems
because your pet is lost, we are not responsible.
Q: How far are you from the Bristol
Motor Speedway NASCAR track?
A: Nine miles. We also have a campground less than a mile from the
race track entrance. People who are staying at Gobbler Nob will have
a special reserved parking spot at the campground and we will drive
you to the front entrance of the track before each race.
Q: Are we permitted to have guests visit
us during our stay?
A: Yes. Prior approval is required, no additional overnight guests
are permitted, and restrictions may apply for certain activities.
Our insurance prohibits hunting, motorcycling, or recreational
vehicle riding (4-wheelers and "quads").
Q: Can we book the property for a large
party or corporate outing?
A: Yes. The large fire pit and picnic area is sometimes rented
separately when we do not have the private suite booked. We also
host outdoor paintball and laser tag parties which may be booked
thru our commercial playing field
