Gobbler Nob Mountain Hideaway

  PREVENT DROWNING IN SPA

·       Supervise your children at all times.

·       Spa heat can cause hypothermia and unconsciousness.

·       Spa heat in conjunction with alcohol, drugs, or medication can cause unconsciousness.

SPA SERVICING

Because this property has a very low yield well, we must regulate water consumption to assure that guests will have adequate fresh water for bathing and drinking. Rental of this property includes an initial hot tub water change and chemical servicing.  Additional water changes will require an additional $50 charge per change, including chemical treatment, and will take 6-10 hours.  It is recommended that guests shower and wash their hair before using the hot tub.

GENERAL INFORMATION

·         Please call us if you need water added to the hot tub. Replacing the thermal blanket when the spa is not in use will minimize evaporation and retain heat. Please do not move the main cover, which has been removed for your convenience and secured under the deck.

·         Use of high power air jets will slowly cool spa water temperature. To raise temperature, set thermostat (up to 104 degrees max) and turn off jets.

·         Please return spa blinds to rolled-up position, so wind does not destroy them.

·         Please do not use hose for washing car or refilling hot tub, without our permission.

·         OVERHEAD SPOTLIGHTS above hot tub are controlled by a switch on the rock wall under the electric panel. Additional outside lights are controlled by various wall switches inside.

·         TV CONTROLERS are next to each TV. The Satellite receiver is located in the main entertainment center, and controls all three of the TVs. They will all be watching the same channel, although the outside TV can watch a separate DVD. Local networks are on channels: 5 (NBC), 11 (ABC), 19 (CBS), and 39 (FOX).

·         The BEDROOM WINDOW has been modified to provide weather protection for the outside LCD TV. You may need to partially open the window from the inside before opening it fully from the outside. The DVD player on the inside window shelf actually plays on the outside TV if you select the correct input. Audio volume for the outside TV is on the separate speaker.

·         The FIRE PIT has been prepared for a big fire. Please take note of the stacking arrangement and carefully place a small starter disk under the center tinder after carefully lighting it. Additional materials are stacked nearby and we can answer questions if you call us (see below).

·         Several miles of private HIKING TRAILS start in different directions from the main driveway.  There are double chairs and picnic tables located at various places along the trails.

·         During your visit, we will be living upstairs, but your privacy is assured. We will use only the upper driveway and house entrance, and will not be walking on the decks.

·         Free Wireless internet service is available. Look for the wireless network:
”Verizon MiFi2200 BEC6 Secure” (Password: 09111768840)

·         Please call Bob McGuire 423-791-0298 if you have any questions or problems.
